Man killed following shooting in Portland’s South Waterfront

Crisis dispatch received a report of a shooting close to 3:23 a.m. on Friday near South River Parkway and South Moody Avenue.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A male is lifeless pursuing a taking pictures in Portland’s South Waterfront early Friday morning, in accordance to the Portland Police Bureau (PPB).

On May possibly 6 all-around 3:23 a.m., police responded to a report of a taking pictures in the vicinity of Residence Inn Marriott hotel near South River Parkway and South Moody Avenue. PPB later verified to KGW that a man died. His title has not been unveiled.  

Officers are investigating this as a murder. The Health care Examiner will identify the cause of loss of life.

Police have not reported what led up to the taking pictures. Officers searched the location for suspects but no a single has been arrested.

This taking pictures occurred just a few of hrs just after a taking pictures at a different resort in Tigard that left two guys useless, but law enforcement in Tigard said it does not appear the two shootings are linked.

Portland is on rate to surpass a file-breaking year of shootings and homicides set in 2021. By the conclusion of the calendar year, 90 persons were killed and there have been more than 1,200 shootings. In 2022, about three-dozen men and women have been killed and a lot more than 150 people injured in shootings all-around the city.
