Male kills lady and himself in Marriott lodge lobby in downtown Houston, law enforcement say

A person fatally shot a girl in the lobby of a downtown Houston resort and then immediately shot and killed himself Tuesday, law enforcement said.

The two are thought to have had some type of relationship, and the shooting, at 3:30 p.m. at the Marriott Marquis Houston, was not believed to be random, the police chief reported. They equally entered with suitcases.

“The investigation is going to decide specifically what connection it is,” Houston Law enforcement Main Troy Finner explained to reporters. “But as I usually say, this is tragic. We’ve obtained apparently two people influenced here.”

The hotel is located downtown near a convention centre. Law enforcement arrived at the scene of the shooting “within minutes” and identified the two persons deceased inside of, he reported.

The two were being not quickly recognized. Police said the lady was in her late 20s, and the guy who shot her and then himself was in his late 30s.

No one particular else was hurt in the incident, law enforcement said.
