2 men and women shot to death in murder-suicide at Marriott Marquis Houston lodge in downtown, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Two persons were being shot to dying in the foyer of a Marriott lodge in downtown Houston on Tuesday in what police say was a murder-suicide.

It took place at the Marriott Marquis Houston resort on Walker Avenue at close to 3:33 p.m.

In accordance to an update issued by Houston Law enforcement Main Troy Finner, when officers arrived, they located a female and a male lifeless in the lobby.

Finner described the sufferer as a white feminine in her late 20s. The suspect was described as a Black male in his late 30s.

He confirmed the taking pictures was a murder-suicide.

“The gentleman did arrive in at some position … shot the female and then quickly shot himself,” said Finner.

The main explained this wasn’t a random taking pictures and reported investigators consider there was some type of relationship between the two.

“Both of them came in with suitcases,” spelled out Finner, who reported officers have put in the afternoon talking with hotel management. “They did have conversations that led people today to believe that they understood every other.”
